Aimee M. Verner, M.D. is a board certified, fellowship trained cornea, external disease, and refractive surgeon. She is an expert in:

• Cataract surgery
• Corneal transplantation (including DMEK techniques)
• Refractive surgery (including implantable collamer lenses, LASIK, and PRK)
• Infectious and inherited diseases of the cornea and anterior segment

Dr. Verner received her undergraduate degree in biochemistry with a minor in Hispanic studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She then received her medical degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville where she stayed to complete her internship and residency in Ophthalmology. While completing her training she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and received an award for her research. She completed her fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
