Elisha Tilton, M.D.

Surgical and Medical Retinal Specialist

Elisha Tilton, M.D. is a fellowship trained specialist in retinal disease and surgery, and a board certified ophthalmologist. Dr. Tilton has an extensive clinical research background focused on the treatment of macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vascular occlusive disease.

Dr. Tilton specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of:

  • Disorders of the vitreous, retina, and macula
  • Complications of cataract surgery
  • Ocular trauma

Dr. Tilton graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in animal physiology and neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego. He taught English as a second language in Colombia and Japan before earning his medical degree at the University of Vermont where he earned his place into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. Dr. Tilton completed his surgical internship and ophthalmology residency at the University of Virginia. He then received two years of vitreoretinal fellowship training at the Lahey Clinic in Boston.

He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is fluent in Spanish.
